A Place to Belong

Life isn’t meant to be lived alone. The Cross Church is a community where real relationships are built—people who encourage, challenge, and walk through life together. From weekend services to Growth Groups for every stage of life, there’s a place for you to connect and grow.

What We Believe

How We Live It Out (The 4 G's)

Our foundation is simple and clear
• God: One God in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• Jesus: Fully God and fully human, our Savior.
• The Bible: God’s true and authoritative Word.
• People: Created by God, in need of grace, offered new life through Jesus.
• The Church: A community of believers living out God’s mission together.
We put our faith into action in four key ways:
• Gather: Worship that honors God and inspires people.
• Grow: Life change happens in community.
• Go: Sharing the hope of Jesus everywhere.
• Give: Investing our lives in what matters most.

QUESTIONS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY

Most people answer around 100 questions every day. The answers to some questions do not greatly affect us. For instance, “Do you want fries with that?” “Would you like paper or plastic?” “Will you be paying with cash or card?” “Would you like heavy or light starch?” The answers to these questions do not cause the world to spin off its axis.

However, there are other questions to which the answers impact you for a lifetime. For instance, “What will you be when you grow up?” Most of us will find out ourselves laboring in some kind of profession, so it only makes sense to find something you can tolerate. “Will you marry me?” There are huge ramifications to this question. A spouse is the one person in your life who can bring you the greatest happiness or hurt. “How many kids do you want to have?” Children are a great blessing, but also a challenge.

All these questions are a part of the human experience, but there are other questions that have eternal ramifications for every person who has ever drawn breath on planet earth. These questions are really the questions behind every other question. Get the answers to these questions wrong and everything else in your life will be confused. Get the answers to these questions right and everything else in your life will make sense. Many people can answer one or two of these questions, but very few people can truly answer all of them. The following are the core beliefs of The Cross Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

God

There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Revelation

God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the holy scriptures, and through all of creation itself.

Mankind

Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God's creations.

The Fall

When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, they ceased to be what they were made to be and became distorted images of God. This caused them to fall out of fellowship with God, and fractured all of creation ever since that time.

Salvation

Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.

The Church

The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Resurrection

Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
